All Tied Up for November 12, 2016
I’m up in New York visiting a friend for a wedding so no video games, but I’ll still have time to start “Lagoon” by Nnedi Okorafor, which is our November Pancake Sex Book Club pick. I also just finished the 40-plus hour journey that was the audiobook of Ron Chernow’s “Washington: A Life” (narrated by Scott Brick), which was incredible, so if anyone has an audiobook recommendations, please send them my way!
I took a few days off so I have an extra long weekend. My friend just left, but now my mom is visiting. We’ll likely be walking the dogs, sipping tea, and getting pedicures. If we head to the city, I’ll be throwing on an audiobook; however, I’m not sure what that will be yet. My tastes are very different from my mom’s.
This weekend I’m going to officiate a gay wedding and, time permitting, see about joining one of those demonstrations I’m seeing on the news. Ness is coming up for the wedding, so I know at least one person to contact if that second thing goes south.
This weekend, I plan to be everything that the people who voted for a fascist hates. I’m mad. I’m gonna stay mad.
