The Best of Cats
Meet Doyle. Doyle is a 5-year-old rescue kitty. In the fall of 2010, when he was about 4 months old, Doyle and his littermates were found in a garbage bag on the side of the road and brought to a local cat rescue. We adopted him when he was twelve weeks old.
There was a time when Doyle was a tiny little kitten who took naps on my warm laptop. He’s twenty-two pounds now, and it’s hard to imagine a time when he was little.
Doyle spends most of his days living a stress-free indoor life. This life includes sleeping, eating two cans of wet food every day, more sleeping, daily lounging, tolerating two small dogs and occasionally sitting in boxes.
Doyle is the friendliest cat I’ve ever known, and I’m not just saying that because he’s mine. He greets everyone who comes to the door with a lot of kitty-enthusiasm. He is an expert Netflix-watcher, lap-warmer and snuggler. He also demands to sleep next to his people in bed.
I never used to be a cat person, but Doyle has won me over. He’s also set the bar for the scale of awesome cats. My cat-expectations are now extremely high.
What I’m trying to say is that my cat is better than any and all other cats.
