  1. My nerdiness was also paternally inspired! But through kungfu and Godzilla movies. I think, but can’t be sure, the source of scifi show and movie watching was also my dad.

    Star Trek:TNG was a weekly family event.

    The fantasy obsession was all mine, but my husband and I are passing it all down to our kids. They love it now. I hope that never change.

    Sewing/knitting came from my mom, though my no longer nurtured drawing skills came from my paternal grandfather.

      Nerd families are the best.

      My dad and I used to watch “Star Trek: TNG,” too! Also “Jurassic Park.” Classic.

      I love that your mum and granddad passed their crafty skills down; my mum used to sew, but the Internet taught me.
